Can the product Pantograph for Studio Rail System 200 cm be attached to a ceiling tube with a metal clamp? Or does it need to be specifically attached to a rail system?

Hi Joan,
You can attach to any clamp having a 16mm spigot pin and capable to sustain total weight of the pantograph and the attached light fixture.

New lights, new pantographs..
New lights purchased means new pantographs in the studio. Having already the cinelight rail system installed,I've opted for the same pantographs. The quality of materials is decent, the spring mechanism is very practical being able to freely move up and down. As a con, the cable clips are quite frail but it's easy to attach it by other methods.

Super usefull piece of gear!
Very good investment for me. The whole system feels quality made. I like it very much especially that it helped me to clear the floor area of light stands. Much easier to work inside my relative small studio. Added two extra pantographs, one using to hang a studio monitor for fast control and one for hanging a mic above the talent. This solution is just what my studio needed!

Not strong enough
So i ordered one with the hope of it being able to hold a 15kg light, unfortunately it sinks to the ground and does not have the strength for 2/3 of the promised weight. Obviously not cinelights fault as i got the product in good time. Looks great for stuff around 8-10kg though... but that's not why i ordered it.
Otherwise the quality of the materials and build is high and seams to last.
